United State Green Building Council (USGBC)is a non-profit organization, established in 1993 by Rick Fedrizzi, David Gottfried and Mike Italiano with a mission to promote sustainability-focused practices in the building and construction industry. For many years, USGBC is helping in better advancement of buildings in our everyday lives.
Since their rating system’s unveiling in 2000, it has become an international standard for environmentally sound buildings, certifying hundreds of thousands of square feet per day.
LEED Green Associate
Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design – Green Associate or LEED GA is a credential attained by an individual to demonstrate their solid knowledge and expertise in LEED Green Building Principles and Practices.
A LEED professional credential signifies the commitment to convoy the environment by adhering the best green building practices.
The LEED GA credential can be attained by successfully passing a 2 hours examination administered by Prometric Centre.
There are no eligibility requirements. However, USGBC recommends exposure to LEED and green building concepts through education, volunteering or work experience.
